About This Cause
We realize our mission through several programs Woodstock Sign Language Cafe: A Deaf friendly cafe that provides an accessible space for Deaf employees and the community. It focuses on workforce development for the DHH and hosting community events like ASL Game Night. Universal Music Design: This program enhances the accessibility of music for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. We achieve this by employing cutting-edge Universal Design principles and haptic vibration technology. Picture a dance floor and bodysuits meticulously designed to transcend the auditory experience, translating music into a palpable, physical sensation. PAHcast Studio: A visual podcast series that produces stories created by and featuring Deaf artists who are BIPOC. The DeafBIPOC community is under-served in both Deaf spaces and in BIPOC spaces, and this project provides a forum for this community to create narratives that tend to be overlooked by mainstream media.
