Mission Statement
Kan Cobra Tiger Alliance mission is to serve students and parents throughout New York City, by providing safe, cultural, and recreational services that will: Enrich and empower our children; empower parents and students through our after-school mentoring activities; work with community residents, schools, and community organizations to alleviate problems within the homes and schools, by providing parent and student workshops to address the many problems our students and parents are faced with on a daily basis. It is our belief that we must services the whole family to alleviate the many social, economic, and emotional maladies prevalent in the communities we serve.
About This Cause
Over the last five years Kan Cobra Tiger Alliance has provided free martial arts training, stepping classes, dance classes, and music and art classes for anyone who could not pay for our services. We have partner with schools to provide free food to parents on a weekly basis through out partnership with community food pantries. We have provided services to schools in the Crown Heights, East New York and Brownsville communities. Due to limited funds, we could only provide service to one school in each community. For the last three years we have partner with "Christmas Hope" a community organization that selects several schools each year and gives every child in the school a toy a for Christmas. For the 2021 Christmas season we were able to co-sponsor four schools for the toy giveaway. Kan Cobra realizes the importance of after school programming to keep students safe during the hours of 3-7 pm. We work with schools to provide a safe environment for students in some of the most impoverish communities. We are in need of funds to expand our services to more schools in the communities we serve. Kan Cobra CEO is a retired principal who has over thirty years of services as an educator and mentor.
