Construct's mission is to ensure that all kids have the confidence and the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
About This Cause
At Construct, we work with teachers, school leaders, industry, and communities over the long-term, offering in-class student design challenges, state-wide design competitions, teacher professional development, free and supported curriculum, and building learning eco-systems with the help of industry sponsors, which include industry mentors, subject matter experts, teachers, parents, students, and cohorts of schools. We work to transfer the skills necessary for teachers to lead their own design challenges in the future, providing resources--from rapid design-cycle workshops, to free, full-course-curricula, to high-touch coaching supports that enhance teacher knowledge and expertise. We run industry-supported, community human-centered design challenge competitions that ask students to work in teams to create solution concepts to real-world, relevant problems that impact their world. These friendly competitions celebrate student learning with awards, prizes, and recognition while engaging industry and community partners as mentors, judges, and inspiration throughout the process. Our challenges support students in building future-ready skills like collaboration, creativity, confidence, and critical thinking. We make design challenges easy, fun, and versatile for teachers, as we work together with industry to transform the student experience across our schools ensuring a generations of thinkers, doers, and creative problem solvers.
