Mission Statement
Bija is a small scale, high value charity focused on sustainable projects with direct community impact.
About This Cause
Bija deals with sustainable, community oriented projects. We’re not trying to change the world from the top-down, rather we are simply operating on a small scale, with low overhead, to help enact projects which will have a large impact to those in the target communities. We currently have 4 main categories for our projects: Sustainable Development, Education, Urban Agriculture, and Clean Water. On a higher level, our main criteria for project selection is that it helps the community in a way that builds self-reliance, rather than creating dependence through continuous emergency aid relief. Everyone who is directly affiliated with our organization receives no compensation and works as a part time volunteer. It is also our pledge that 100% of project donations will go directly to the projects rather than operation costs, and we will have 100% transparency in the money trail.
