Mission Statement
Building Blocks 2 Success mission is to get ethnically and gender diverse underrespresented youth from the Portland Metropolitan area excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through exposure and participation in STEM-related programs and activities.
About This Cause
Building Blocks 2 Success (BB2S) provides STEM programming and exposure opportunities for youth through partnerships with STEM professionals and local businesses and community organizations. Our goal is to inspire, empower, and motivate youth to participate and get involved in activities in which they will continue to pursue their interests in STEM fields. We promote positive self-esteem through critical thinking, problem solving, public speaking, and being analytical in their thought processing. Our youth participate in hands on learning activities to achieve these goals. I'm addition, we promote pursuing Higher Education and community engagement and involvement as ways to improve their success in life.
