Mission Statement
No Means No Worldwide is an internationally acclaimed non-profit organization whose mission is to end sexual violence against women and children around the world.
About This Cause
No Means No Worldwide (NMNW) trains young men and women from high-risk communities to deliver a dual-gender sexual violence intervention system that teaches girls to set boundaries, stand up, and defend themselves and boys to challenge rape culture, ask for consent, and intervene in attack. No Means No curricula teach adolescents of all genders mental, verbal, and physical skills and strategies to avoid and escape from sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence, skills to safely intervene when anticipating or witnessing violence, and provides help for young people who are survivors of sexual abuse to disclose safely and access aftercare support. Extensive research on the No Means No curriculum with more than 20,000 participants in Kenya and Malawi has shown that rates of sexual assault decreased by 47% among female participants and 79% of boys that participated in No Means No and witnessed sexual assault within one year were able to intervene effectively. NMNW currently provides intensive training and technical assistance for strong local partner organizations in 11 countries who deliver No Means No programming to young people ages 10-20. NMNW also coordinates a global partner learning network to support our partners in continuing to improve, sustain, and scale No Means No programming.
