Mission Statement
We are an educational not-for-profit 501c3, non-membership organization whose mission is to educate new, beginning, and small scale beekeepers, and others interested in honeybees and beekeeping, in honey bee disease recognition, and to provide services and information for beekeepers and the general public on maintaining healthy honey bee colonies in New York and the surrounding region.
About This Cause
We are an educational not-for-profit 501c3, non-membership organization whose mission is to educate new, beginning, and small scale beekeepers, and others interested in honeybees and beekeeping, in honey bee disease recognition, and to provide services and information for beekeepers and the general public on maintaining healthy honey bee colonies in New York and the surrounding region. We conduct intensive, skills oriented workshops, including train the trainer programs, provide educational printed material, survey beekeepers for disease incidence and bee survival, maintain an educational website, write a quarterly newsletter, and provide information to the general public at fairs and conferences. We also have educational, instructional youtube videos by renown beekeeping experts, which are free and available for viewing to beekeepers around the world We are a primarily volunteer run organization and donations are gratefully accepted.
