Mission Statement
Racing For Heroes is a 501c3 Veteran-service nonprofit organization that is committed to helping veterans and first responders deal with the unseen wounds of service by filling in the void left by scarce government resources in an attempt to end veteran and first responder suicide. At RFH we believe all individuals are unique, which is why we tailor each person's treatment to fit his or her unique needs. By utilizing a multifaceted approach which employs our Health and Wellness, Motorsports Therapy, Education & Employment, and Community Outreach Programs, RFH can help individuals deal with the complexity of life during and after service.
About This Cause
Racing For Heroes is undergoing a large shift in operations that we believe will position the organization to help many more veterans and first responders both now and in the future. To this end, RFH is opening a state-of-the-art medical facility in Alton, VA right outside of VIR that will be used to help patients dealing with TBI, PTSD, and Substance Abuse Disorder as well as general performance optimization. RFH will host state licensed Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) aimed to treat PTSD and Substance Abuse Disorder. These programs will be centered around motorsports as this is one of the organizations fundamental concepts (think equine therapy but with race cars). Further, The clinic will also have the most cutting edge treatments for TBI and Performance Optimization, which include but are not limited to Hyperbaric Oxygenation Therapy (HBOT), Magnetic Resonance Therapy (MeRT), Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE), IV and IM Therapies, Cryotherapy, Red Light Therapy, and Full Gym. RFH believes that this transition will allow us to have a much greater impact on the veteran and first responder community and as always, remains committed to the ultimate goal of ending veteran and first responder suicide. RFH will still host its traditional Motorsports Therapy Programs and Veteran Employment Program as we understand that true health is not merely the absence of infirmity but rather encompasses the complete social, physical, and mental well-being of a person.
