Seattle Neighborhood Greenways organizes and mobilizes people to make every neighborhood a great place to walk, bike and live.
About This Cause
Founded in 2011 with the idea that we’re stronger together, our work is powered by people like you. Here's how we're working to create a safer, more equitable, and sustainable Seattle: Vision Zero | We are advocating to make every street safe to walk, bike and roll — because everyone deserves to get home safe. UnGapTheMap | We are working to connect every neighborhood to a safe and convenient bike route — protected from traffic and comfortable enough for most riders, of all ages, languages, ethnicities, genders, races and abilities. Places for People | Building off the success of making cafe streets permanent, we are organizing to create a pedestrianized street in the heart of every neighborhood. Whose Streets? Our Streets! | Our Black, Indigenous, and People of Color-focused workgroup is examining the role of enforcement in transportation and advocating for the needs of communities of color whose safety and mobility has historically been restricted by unjust public planning and policies. We are grateful to each and every person who gives their time, skills and financial support to our people-powered movement.
