Mission Statement
The mission of The New Millennium Chamber Orchestra is to enrich the cultural life of our region by bringing an exciting and innovative series of orchestral concerts to people of all ages and means in their own communities. We believe that music is an integral and vital part of the life of our community. For player and listener alike, experiencing music as a community engages our powers of imagination, deepens our sense of connection to each other, heightens our aesthetic sensibilities, and encourages creative expression for all.
About This Cause
New Millennium Performing Arts is the parent organization of the New Millennium Chamber Orchestra, located on the San Francisco Peninsula. NMCO creates an opportunity for dedicated volunteer musicians to come together in rehearsing and performing a wide array of orchestral repertoire. In all of our efforts, we strive to achieve a high level of musical artistry.We aim to empower our musicians to help shape the programming and repertoire of the group and to become artistic partners with other cultural and educational organizations in our community.We believe strongly in audience education, and include elements of it in all of our concerts to make the listener’s experience more enjoyable and fulfilling.We are devoted to presenting innovative programming, and we work closely with local composers and soloists to deepen the shared experience of artist and listener.
