Mission Statement
The Coding School is dedicated to ensuring the next generation is prepared for the future of work by providing high quality and accessible emerging technology education to students of all backgrounds. We believe STEM education is the key to social mobility and that’s why we’re pushing the boundaries of traditional STEM education by developing a diverse set of programs to increase diversity in STEM and ensure all students, regardless of socioeconomic background, race, gender, geographic location or learning differences, develop the skills necessary to thrive in our tech-driven world and are prepared for the future of work.
About This Cause
The Coding School (TCS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to ensure that the next generation is prepared with the technical skills needed for the future of work. As pioneers in emerging technology education, we believe there is a critical and unmet need to provide students - especially students from underrepresented backgrounds in STEM - with skills and knowledge in the technologies that will change the nature of how we conduct business, how we interact and connect, and society at large. TCS specializes in teaching programs on emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, and Quantum Computing through our Qubit by Qubit Initiative. Our programs are designed for K-12 students and educators, community college and university students, faculty, and current members of the workforce to gain in-depth knowledge and real world skills, and we have developed first-of-their-kind pathways for students as young as middle school to begin learning these subjects early on. Our Vision and Mission: At TCS, our goal is to provide students of all backgrounds with accessible and high quality STEM education, increase diversity in STEM, ensure all students are prepared for the future of work, and ultimately train the next generation of responsible STEM leaders. Our Impact: To date, we have taught over 50,000 students and educators from all 50 states and 125 countries. More than 55% of our students come from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in STEM. About Your Donation: Your donation will go directly into our student scholarship fund. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in the lives of our students. Over 90% of our students attend a course on partial or full scholarship, and it is through donations like yours that we are able to keep our programs as accessible as possible.
