Mission Statement
Our mission is to reduce the rates of euthanasia and overpopulation of sad, neglected and homeless dogs on the Big Island of Hawaii. We focus our efforts on making a meaningful impact on the stray and abandoned dog populations that fill the Shelter.
About This Cause
Our 501c3 Non-Profit charity is focused on intaking stray, abandoned, homeless dogs and finding them the correct matches for their size, breed and temperament. We believe the right matches help the dog remain in a forever home and thus lessens the chances of it coming back into a facility or a shelter. We adopt out about 700 dogs a year with a team of mostly volunteers. We are a foster based organization and we are very careful where are dogs are placed.
