About This Cause

Creighton University, a Jesuit, Catholic university founded in 1878, is located in Omaha, Nebraska on a 130-acre campus adjacent to the downtown business and entertainment district. Creighton enrolls more than 4,100 undergraduates and more than 3,200 professional school and graduate students. Nationally recognized for providing a balanced educational experience, the University offers a rigorous academic agenda in a broad range of disciplines, providing undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs that emphasize educating the whole person – academically, socially and spiritually. Creighton consists of the College of Arts and Sciences (35% of the University’s students); College of Business; Graduate School; Schools of Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy and Health Professions; and University College (for nontraditional students). Creighton offers more than 50 majors in the three undergraduate divisions: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and School of Nursing. Service is a core part of Creighton’s educational mission. Creighton students, faculty and staff serve all over the U.S. and around the world, in 90 countries and on seven continents. This service equates to more than 295,000 volunteer hours to those in need annually at more than 800 community organizations. Programs of service include educational outreach, medical and dental assistance, pro bono legal work, and more. 57,000 Creighton alumni live in 94 countries throughout the world.
