Mission Statement
The Omaha Community Foundation connects people who care about our community with the people and nonprofits who are doing the most good here. From a practical standpoint, we simplify the philanthropic process and give donors more financial flexibility. We make it easier for generous people to accomplish more with their gifts.
About This Cause
The Omaha Community Foundation is a giving collective, founded to help people who care about Omaha do the most good here. At our most basic level, we simplify our donors’ charitable giving. We help them take advantage of tax benefits, we manage their paperwork, and we keep them advised on philanthropic trends and legal details. But the Foundation has always had a much larger mission: We help our donors give with greater impact. We make their charitable dollars go further and do more. And we’re dedicated to expanding philanthropy throughout our community – with members and non-members – always looking for new and better ways to give. Since 1982, more than $1.2 billion had been donated through the Omaha Community Foundation. Our goal for the future is simply more. More giving. More donors. More ideas. More possibilities.
