About This Cause
Generation believes in the power of employment to change lives. Millions of people around the world struggle to make ends meet, much less to save money that can transform their lives and those of their families. And too often, good-paying jobs - the foundation for income stability and long-term well-being - lie out of reach for people who face one or more systemic barriers due to their gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, education, and income. At Generation, we are committed to changing this reality. We train, place, and support people into life-changing careers across 17 countries, and we advocate for new approaches that will open up opportunities to everyone. To date, Generation has more than 96,000 graduates who have earned more than $890 million in wages, income that they then use for meeting daily needs, housing, health care, education, and much more. And two to five years after graduation, 70% of graduates continue to meet their daily financial needs and 40% save for the future.
