About This Cause
River City Community Development Center (R CITY) exists to bring together the best of our city to build a path for families to walk from cradle to career to the glory of God. We do this through children's programs that cast vision and build foundational skills, junior high mentoring that repairs trauma and strengthens relationships, teen apprenticeships that give experience and training in the trades, and a scholarship fund to make college accessible. R CITY is located in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood, serving youth and families resilient in the face of Chicago's highest levels of gun violence.
