About This Cause
Coltura was founded in 2014. Our mission is to improve climate, health, and equity by accelerating the shift beyond gasoline to cleaner alternatives, and our vision is a gasoline-free America by 2040. Coltura is focused exclusively on cutting gasoline use quickly, efficiently and equitably. We do this by: • Developing policies and data insights to open new pathways for accelerating the displacement of gasoline while easing the financial burden on the lower-income families who use the most gasoline; • Leading coalitions and providing leaders and advocates with data, insights, messaging, and other tools to advance gasoline reduction policies; and • Reducing cultural tolerance of gasoline through media and art.
