About This Cause
The Just One Project (TJOP) received its 501(c)(3) charitable organization status in 2014. TJOP is a grass-roots organization whose vision is to Inspire, Impact, and Change. Its goal is to connect people in the community with opportunities of kindness through good deeds, upon the premise that one person, Just One, could make a difference in the life of another. The food programs are implemented as follows: Drive-Through Market is open Monday-Friday for low-income households, who once a month receive groceries consisting of a variety of meat, canned and dry goods, fresh produce, bread, and more. Pop Up & Give Mobile Market operates much like the Drive-Through Market, but the food (fresh and non-perishable) is transported to 12 Clark County School District locations & 30 senior housing locations for local pick-up. No-Cost Community Market consists of client-choice shopping, where clients and their children select their groceries at no cost and are also offered wraparound services, a bevy of healthy recipes for their food choices, as well as additional nutrition education. The Sweet Spot is a recent adjunct to the No-Cost Community Market, offering nutritious snacks to complement foods generally designated for meals. Market 2 You is a grocery delivery program for home-bound clients who are unable to leave their homes, often due to health, mobility, or transportation issues. 40-pound food boxes are delivered each month, containing fresh and non-perishable food that is nutritionally balanced for seniors. Shine On is the programmatic designation for three expressions of service to tear down barriers that prevent senior nutrition access: Golden Groceries, Meals on Wheels, and Senior Commodities. Together, these form a comprehensive response to address the nutritional needs of seniors throughout Clark County.
