Mission Statement
Our mission is to be near and care for the brokenhearted. To live out our calling by reflecting the love, grace, and mercy we’ve received in our own lives. To meet those suffering from homelessness, addiction, and mental illness at their moment of desperation. And to partner with them in their journey to wholeness, wellness, and peace.
About This Cause
Advocates Recovery Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to walking alongside individuals impacted by substance use, homelessness, and incarceration as they rebuild their lives. Rooted in compassion, accountability, and hope, we serve communities in Washington State through peer-led support, outreach, housing, and recovery services that are trauma-informed, person-centered, and grounded in lived experience. Housing. Advocates Recovery Services’ sober living communities are designed to cultivate unique and healthy environments for individuals in recovery. Peer-led with Peer Certified Counseling, Supportive Employment and Housing services at your fingertips, Advocates Recovery Services housing is a grassroots movement to bolster the recovery community. Outreach. Peer Certified Counselor and CCAR Certified Recovery Coaches providing triage care for Snohomish County’s most vulnerable. Facilitating transitions from unsheltered homelessness in Snohomish County to sustainability with substance use disorder and mental health resources. Street Medicine. Led by Advocates' Chief Medical Officer, our Street Medicine Team provides mobile medical, mental health, and substance use disorder care for Snohomish County's most vulnerable. Through our WHAA newly established free clinic, we provide on-the-spot wound care, medication-assisted treatment referrals, medical evaluations, and healthcare advocacy. Staffed by volunteer clinicians and peer supporters, the clinic brings healing directly to those who are unhoused or disconnected from traditional medical systems. SOAR. Advocates Recovery Services' dedicated SOAR Team is a group of Peer Certified Counselors, CCAR Certified Recovery Coaches, and subject experts which provide expert assistance and advocacy in navigating the complex SSI/SSDI landscape. Recovery Coach Academy. Led by a team of CCAR Certified Recovery Professionals and Certified Recovery Coaching Facilitators, courses include 40-hour training which culminates in participants receiving their CCAR Recovery Coaching Certifications. Courses will be open to the general public, and are held virtually and in-person. Supportive Housing and Employment Navigation. Advocates Recovery Services' Supportive Services are designed to offer certified, expert, and evidence-based care which partners with clients in getting Snohomish County’s most vulnerable housed and employed and keeping them housed and employed. Breaking the cyclical nature of homeless, addiction, and mental illness. For good. Certified Peer Counseling. ARS' Certified Peer Counselors walk alongside individuals in all stages of recovery, offering encouragement, accountability, and lived experience. One-on-one sessions provide a safe space to process struggles and celebrate progress. Group classes—led by peers and grounded in connection—offer tools, hope, and practical guidance for sustaining recovery. Why We Need You. Every sock, every bandage, every case plan, and every night of safe housing is made possible by people like you. $25 helps us deliver hygiene kits and survival supplies during outreach. $100 funds peer support for someone just out of detox or incarceration.$500 helps a participant transition into stable housing. $1,000+ supports the training of future recovery coaches who will go on to impact hundreds more. Your donation doesn’t just go toward programs—it goes into the hands of people who are choosing hope, choosing change, and fighting every day to rebuild their lives. Join Us. Be part of something bigger than a donation. Be part of a movement that restores lives, renews purpose, and reminds people they’re not alone.
