Mission Statement

Must-solve problems don’t come with ready-made solutions. Solving these types of problems takes optimism, resilience, and grit. It takes analysis, synthesis, and dissemination. It takes turning beliefs into action. It takes giving. Giving is about better outcomes and bigger impact. About opportunity and equity, potential and passion, acceleration and transformation. Giving must be bold yet humble. Visionary yet practical. Expansive yet specific. Gates Philanthropy Partners offers donors a simple way to align their giving with the Gates Foundation. It’s a way to join Bill and Melinda in their fight to end inequity and improve the lives of the world’s poorest people. It’s a way for donors to maximize the impact of their gift and accelerate progress on must-solve problems.

About This Cause

"To go fast, go alone. To go far, go together." --African Proverb

At Gates Philanthropy Partners, we believe in the power of collaboration, rigor, optimism, and innovation to tackle the world's most intractable problems.

With Gates Philanthropy Partners, you co-fund high impact, measurable programs that make a difference in the lives of people around the world and are backed by the expertise, strategies, and diligence of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The path out of poverty begins when the next generation can access quality healthcare and a great education. Gates Philanthropy Partners--in partnership with the Gates Foundation--focuses on:

+ Improving people's health and wellbeing and helping individuals lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty across the developing world

+ In the United States, we seek to ensure that all people—especially those with the fewest resources—can access the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life.

All projects and programs supported by GPP have been vetted and funded by the Gates Foundation, leveraging the foundation's expertise, research, and due diligence. As part of its commitment to provide its donors with transparency, GPP will share with donors an annual report about its grant-making activities in that year.
