Mission Statement

Destiny Community Services brings the community together to educate and empower the entire family unit through programs and services The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the individual to make positive changes in his/her life in turn making positive changes in the family and ultimately the community as a whole. Destiny Community Services offers support onsite at the Destiny Community Center and throughout the city at local schools, city parks and venues. Our outreach programs are designed not only to fulfill a current need, but to be the starting point to bringing health to the family, while the Community Center is a central place they can come to receive specialized services as well as feel a part of the community.

About This Cause

Destiny Community Services is the first in the Greater Sacramento area to provide holistic family resources offering overall physical, mental and socio-emotional health all in one location as well as reaching out into the community with programs, services and events. Compared to other individual resourcing services, we differentiate ourselves by offering all services free of charge (discounted rate for high level tutoring) Our Outreach into the community is a bridge into the community center. Each outreach event has a high bar for excellence and volunteer participation. As people get served out in the community, they have a place to come to for many additional services. We have been doing major events for several years prior to forming our nonprofit. Our major events include: • Love Our City Christmas- We partner with the Sacramento Kings as well as other local businesses to provide a free bike and toy at Christmas time for 1500 underserved children in title 1 schools. • Celebrate America- A Celebration and tribute to our veterans, this 2 day show draws over 30,000 people the week prior to July 4. Both nights are filled with tributes, music, dance, military performances and even Navy Seals parachuting out of planes. The evening ends with the best July 4 fireworks in the region! • Love our City serve days- We send out hundreds of volunteers at these major events to do community serve projects, paint schools, repair buildings and clean areas of the community that need it most. We hand out thousands of pounds of food at each of these events and end with a neighborhood BBQ that shows the neediest communities that we love them. • Block Parties- These smaller events happen several times a year. As of now, we have adopted 7 neighborhoods in the area that need us the most. We provide food, a helping hand and hope for these families. • Back to School Back Pack Giveaway- A great event each year where we partner with local title 1 public schools to bring out students and provide them with a back pack full of school supplies. The schools do not provide these things and the parents can’t afford it. Not only do the teachers, administrators and students come out for the back packs and supplies, but we provide a carnival type atmosphere with professional entertainment and a blowout BBQ to love on these families. The services that we provide to the community free of charge Out of the Destiny Community Center in Rocklin include the following: • Performing Arts • Family Resources • Education • Youth • Seniors • Community Development • English as a second language (ESL) • Fitness • Mental Health As we serve the community through our events, we house these services within the Destiny Community Center. In addition, we have been asked by local public schools to take some of these services on campus. All of our programs and services are built around the family! We value: • Character Building • Positive Parenting • Physical Health • Socio-Emotional Health • Mental Health Integrity: We pursue honorable initiatives, and conduct business in a way that is honest, transparent and ethical.
