Mission Statement

The mission of the Spread Wings Foundation is to connect future generations to the worlds of finance, history, art, and nature. We use a unique book collection as educational tools to encourage young people to gain financial literacy, pursue jobs in finance, develop an interest in history, encourage them to enter fields that help protect the natural resources of our coastal communities, and inspire them to become the artists, entrepreneurs, and business owners that contribute to our culture and economy.

About This Cause

The Spread Wings Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) children’s educational trust based in New York and Massachusetts, serving youth throughout the United States. It was established by Robert Gambee in 2015. Mr. Gambee spent his career on Wall Street working in both finance and photography. He served as the official photographer for the Federal Reserve Bank of NY and is the published author of ten books. His work and life experience inspired him to become a bridge builder for others, especially the next generation. The Spread Wings Foundation uses this unique book collection as an educational tool to connect future generations to the worlds of finance, history, art and nature. Currently our focus is on The Wall Street Book Project and The Nantucket Book Project. One of the principal missions of the Spread Wings Foundation is to educate students and learners of all ages about the history of the United States financial hub. The Wall Street Book Project focuses on spreading the history of American finance through the donation of the book Wall Street-Financial Capital. The book is distributed to students of finance, especially high school through graduate programs. The goal is to help young people develop an interest in finance, encourage them to enter the financial job market, and inspire them to become entrepreneurs and business owners. Another principal mission of the Spread Wings Foundation is to educate students and learners of all ages about the history of Nantucket. The Nantucket Book Project focuses on spreading the history of Nantucket through the donation of the book Nantucket Impressions. This collection of photographs captures Nantucket’s natural beauty and charming architecture, as well as its rich history. The book is distributed to young adults and adults studying the island of Nantucket. The goal is to help young people develop an interest in Massachusetts history, encourage them to enter fields that help protect the natural resources of its coastal communities, and inspire them to become the artists, entrepreneurs and business owners who contribute to the state’s culture and economy.
