Our mission for universalism should be as a way of transcending the limitations of narrow identity politics towards higher order of existence.
About This Cause
The description of our charity is closely aligned with Tagore's view of freedom of mind - to promote world peace, harmony, prosperity and humanism - to build the Universal Bond, a bond that reflects the natural blending of the cultures of the East and the West -to promote our vision of universal human unity, of 'living bonds in society', and of spontaneous expression of man as social being . Our goal is to take this opportunity to prepare a place for 'Global Education'-a platform that supports transforming socialization into globalization and will handle -immigration crisis -crisis at the Middle East -terrorism crisis -nuclear non-proliferation crisis Offer educational courses -by well-known people in the field -Arabic experts/Israeli experts -Latin American & South Asian experts -hold Face-to-Face meetings between parties with conflicting views -have dinner meetings -offer college credit courses and young scholar courses -approach is "Convergence" -arrange lecture series Thus far our development work on a 15-acre property in a serene corner of southwest Houston near energy corridor has been primarily funded by our (Deysarkar) family trust fund. We have built an open-air theater, open air meditation center, early childhood development center and Tagore Museum of Fine Arts. To complete the remaining developmental work to accommodate our goal stated above, we need to raise at least $3.5 million dollars from people like members of corporation like Google who are passionate for education and art aspects of humanity. Motivation behind Tagore Center Foundation (TCF) - this project is a way to GIVE BACK to our communities of a nation (USA) which gives us so much to make our life worthwhile. Knowing Google and its members' contribution towards humanitarian causes and its keen interest in arts and education, we would take this opportunity to request you all to help us complete the remaining phases of this humanitarian project. TCF Complex in Houston, Tx invites the bright young souls of today and tomorrow in America to nurture and imbibe the great universal spirit, in action and in creative livable expression!
