Veterans housing Veterans, armed with the strength and support of the community.

About This Cause

Veterans Community Project (VCP) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to fixing Veteran homelessness. Founded in 2016 by combat Veterans in Kansas City, Missouri, VCP harnesses the collective power and capacity of the community to offer a powerful, proven path back to society for Veterans experiencing homelessness. Through transitional tiny home VCP Villages, personalized case management, and wraparound support, VCP offers not just stability, but a lasting network of support ensuring that no Veteran is left behind. At VCP, we stand by the belief that a Veteran is anyone who raises their right hand and takes the oath to protect our Constitution, regardless of discharge status or type of service. VCP’s innovative model has redefined how communities across the country support Veterans. Expanding from Kansas City, MO, VCP is now operational in Longmont, CO; St. Louis, MO; and Sioux Falls, SD, with new VCP Villages under development in Glendale, AZ and Milwaukee, WI. Once complete, VCP will have the capacity to provide transitional housing for up to 240 Veterans at a time—while delivering critical support services to thousands more nationwide.
