Mission Statement
The Quell Foundation’s mission is to reduce the stigma of mental illness by encouraging open dialogue and increasing pathways to support, training, and education – empowering individuals and communities to achieve mental wellness.
About This Cause
The Quell Foundation, a champion for turning advocacy into measurable change, is committed to building a world where the stigma of mental illness is eradicated, and mental health support and treatment are normalized, boldly embraced, and universally accessible. Key Programs include: - Scholarships for future mental health providers - Stigma-reducing documentary series including a film covering the general population, one featuring First Responders, and one including athletes; all films include individuals with lived experience of mental illness, their loved ones, and clinician input. - First Responder Resilience training, including 12 modules for first responders to learn about mental health, develop skills, and build resiliency to reduce suicide, risk-seeking behaviors, and other negative outcomes in first responder departments. - Lift the Mask Clubs on college and university campuses across the US featuring mental health awareness programming in a student-founded and student-led organization - Mentorship for Quell scholars and Lift the Mask Club members pursuing any professional field
