Mission Statement
Focus on Book Arts strives to develop and present a national biennial Conference, with workshops, lectures, exhibits, and other activities related to the books arts, that offers artistic and community development.
About This Cause
The objectives of the FOBA Conference activities are four-fold: 1. To reach out to the broader community and teach the general public about the Book Arts; 2. To attract classroom instructors so that book arts can be integrated into the classroom; 3. To provide classes for beginners as well as more advanced students with workshops designed to accommodate all interests and skill levels, with beginner level classes attracting new people to the book arts and more advanced workshops helping people grow and improve their skills, and, 4. To be self-sustaining, keeping costs as low as possible while compensating instructors adequately for their work; Focus on Book Arts is not a fund raising event.
