Mission Statement
The GENES Foundation is dedicated to supporting families impacted by genetic conditions, offering vital assistance to help children and young adults achieve their full potential. Our mission is to empower families through education on specific diagnoses, access to relevant resources and therapy options, and connections to a network of others facing similar challenges. Through customized programs, workshops, seminars, and a nurturing community, GENES provides families with the tools and support needed to navigate their unique journey and promote growth, resilience, and well-being.
About This Cause
Our program, GENES, is dedicated to supporting families affected by genetic conditions, helping not only the individual diagnosed but their entire family unit. We believe that a united and well-supported family is crucial for facing the challenges these conditions present. With this in mind, we focus on four key areas: strengthening the family as a support system, providing diagnosis-specific education, supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of the whole family, and connecting families with other families and resources for every stage of their journey. Through a range of services, we offer workshops and counseling for patients and their families, specialized guidance on navigating educational and legal systems, and support groups and programs to help families feel connected and understood. We also extend our work to health professionals and educators, providing seminars and resources to aid inclusion and stay updated on medical advances.
