Mission Statement
Our mission statement is "To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all." Help us achieve that goal by donating to this non-profit organization, and you can help make a better world for our children.
About This Cause
All YMCA sports programs begin with a Sports Pledge. No lunch is served in Child Care without a prayer. Every Staff and committee meeting begins with Devotion. All Board meetings begin with an invocation. This year 33 new staff members were trained in Mission and Character Development. The core values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty are stressed in everything at the YMCA. We stress the "C"! 2013 Free Outreach Highlights Camp Finnup served 246 participants. The Family Department provided six Family Fun Nights and served 2,411 participants with games, activities and fun! Healthy Kids Day served 100 participants. $19,826.60 was awarded in gift certificates to school events, fundraisers, auctions, and more! YSplash served 226 participants. 31 took advantage of the Spirit, Mind & Body and the Lunch & Learn monthly mingles. Jeff Bosche B-ball Camp served 134 participants. The Child Care Department doesn't reflect the discount offered to the social organizations or the sites offered through United Way. Last Year, we served 270 youth at the United Way sites for only $5 a week. This is only $1 a day, fifty cents an hour for good, quality afterschool programming and attributes to $7,290.00 per week discounted to the parents and families, isn't that amazing?!? Additionally, we have the "Keeping Our Promise" program that sponsors youth with a free membership to the Y. Last year we sponsored 62 youth!
