About This Cause

CCC serves as a community hub emphasizing equity and inclusion, ensuring all children, families, and early care professionals have the opportunities, resources, trauma-informed training, and support. CCC believes that each child in our program is deserving of a high-quality early childhood education including high quality staff, instruction, and environment. This includes the foundation of racial equity and trauma-informed care. Community Children's Center offers several groups and services such as the Early Childhood Clothing Closet, offering free new and gently used clothing for ages 0-5T, as well as maternity wear. We have our Grow and Go playgroup, which provides kids 0-5 and their caretakes a safe and nurturing space to grow, play, and learn. We also offer a Family Resource Center with two dedicated social workers helping families in Douglas County with any issues or challenges they may face. In March 2025, Community Children's Center will feature our Early Childhood Community Center at 346 Maine Street, a facility which will feature 24/7 care, an indoor play area for all kids in Douglas County, and the Family Resource Center services mentioned above.
