Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide support to Brooke Army Medical Center's patients and the military community through service projects, special moral boosting events and fundraising events to facilitate our Annual Welfare Grant Program.
About This Cause
The BAMC Auxiliary was founded in 1953 as a military spouses’ organization. Today we operate as a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. We are a private organization and are not part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and have no governmental status. Our mission is to provide support to Brooke Army Medical Center's patients and the military community through service projects, special moral boosting events and fundraising events to facilitate our Annual Welfare Grant Program. Our Grant program aims to enhance the patient experience by fulfilling requests for patient care that fall outside normal funding. We hold monthly events and service projects that encourage friendship and support among military families. We fundraise for and support various BAMC and Fort Sam Houston organizations including the Warrior and Family Support Center (WFSC), the Center for the Intrepid, and various hospital departments and services within BAMC.
