Mission Statement
Rooted in San Francisco’s Mission District, MEDA is advancing a national equity movement by building Latino prosperity, community ownership and civic power. We envision generations of Latino families choosing where to call home, thriving economically, succeeding in learning opportunities, and leading policy and social change toward a more equitable society.
About This Cause
MEDA seeks to strengthen low and moderate income Latino families by promoting economic equity and social justice through asset building and community development. MEDA has an holistic approach to carry out its mission by providing a wide range of free services to the community including business development, financial capability training, tax preparation, workforce development, public policy advocacy, CDFI lending, and more. MEDA has a robust affordable housing program that has preserved and produced over 2,000 units of affordable homes to keep our families rooted in the San Francisco.
