Mission Statement
Eye to Eye's mission is to improve the life of every person with a learning disability. We fulfill our mission by supporting a growing network of youth mentoring programs for those with learning differences, and by organizing advocates to support the full inclusion of people with learning differences in all aspects of society.
About This Cause
At Eye to Eye, we believe that all students deserve access to a high quality educational environment regardless of how they learn, and that one day, society will be a better place because all youth with LD/ADHD will achieve their fullest potential. Our mission is to improve the life of every person with LD/ADHD by creating a world in which they are fully accepted, valued and respected—not just by society, but also by themselves—and that they live free from second thoughts or worry, ready, able and eager to apply their unique strengths to whatever they encounter in life. As the only national LD/ADHD mentoring organization in the country, we help our participants gain skills in social-emotional learning areas, including self-perception, metacognition, attitude toward school and the academic community, and self-advocacy behaviors.
