The National Network for Youth is on a mission to transform systems so that no young person in America experiences homelessness.
About This Cause
The National Network for Youth (NN4Y) envisions a world where all young people have a safe place to call home with endless opportunities to reach their full potential. NN4Y has been a public education and policy advocacy organization dedicated to the prevention and eradication of youth homelessness in America for over 45 years. As the largest and most diverse network of its kind, NN4Y mobilizes over 300 members and affiliates – organizations that work on the front lines every day to provide prevention and response services to youth and young adults at risk of and experiencing homelessness. Through our work with communities, our National Youth Advisory Council, members, and policymakers, we seek to reduce the incidence, severity and re-occurrence of homelessness that approximately 4.2 million youth and young adults experience each year in America (Missed Opportunities, 2017). Ensuring that the vital task of working towards a safe, just and sustainable future for all youth is brought closer to reality. 2. Identifying mechanisms and frameworks to tackle youth homelessness from different angles. 3. Disseminating evidence-based recommendations and building awareness to promote solutions that positively impact youth at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. 4. Providing training and technical assistance to local community leaders and key decision makers to foster positive systems level policy and practices changes.
