Mission Statement
Our mission is to ensure everyone has a clear path to financial stability, wealth, and prosperity, particularly people of color and low-wealth families. Our goal is a fair and just economy – an economy where everyone can fully participate across their life cycles, where households can build sustainable wealth through generations, and communities can prosper without exception.
About This Cause
The current economic system does not work for everyone. Low-income households and people of color, especially continue to face institutional barriers to building wealth. Rather than mitigate the downstream effects of this broken system, we seek to create, identify, test and amplify solutions that address the root causes of economic inequities. For 40 yrs, Prosperity Now (formerly CFED) has created economic opportunity by centering the voices of our over 24,000 partners accross the country to address and advocate for issues such as Children's Savings Accounts, access to affordable housing, emergency savings, a more just tax code and the racial wealth divide.
