Project Details
MOAS is an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to providing aid and emergency medical relief to refugees and migrants around the world.
Founded in 2013 in response to the Mediterranean maritime migration phenomenon, today MOAS is working in Bangladesh to provide emergency medical care and assistance to Rohingya refugees fleeing from violence and persecution in Myanmar.
Since October 2017, MOAS has provided emergency and primary health services to over 50,000 people through two Aid Stations at Shamlapur and Unchiprang. In April 2018, MOAS deployed the Phoenix to the Andaman Sea to conduct a one-month observation mission, following emerging reports that Rohingya refugees are attempting to flee Myanmar by sea in unsafe vessels and dangerous weather.
