Mission Statement
The Providence Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds to support the greatest needs of Providence, the longest continuously operating community hospital in Washington, DC.
About This Cause
The Providence Health System includes Providence Hospital, which has served patients in the Washington metro area for over 155 years, Perry Family Health Center, Fort Lincoln Family Medicine Center, Carroll Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Seton House – Behavioral Health Services, and the D.C. Police & Fire Clinic, which provides all preventative health services to the District’s police officers, fire fighters, Secret Service agents, and US Park Police. Providence's mission is rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer. We commit ourselves to serving all person with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually-centered, holistic care, which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words. Through fundraising events, campaigns and grants, Providence Health Foundation raises essential charitable donations, which are necessary to keep our vital programs running and to ensure the D.C. community is provided with quality healthcare, especially to those who are struggling and vulnerable.
