SAMARITAN INNS INC
Mission Statement
Samaritan Inns’ mission is to provide structured housing, treatment and recovery services in an environment of support and accountability. This gives homeless or at-risk individuals who suffer from drug and alcohol addictions the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
About This Cause
Our organization is comprised of four residential programs: our 28-Day Adult Treatment Program, a 6-month Transitional Living Program for men and women (separate), Long-Term Recovery Program, and the Women with Children Program. Our 28-Day Adult Treatment Program has a capacity to provide 24 individuals – 12 men and 12 women – with fully residential treatment services: case management to assist in addressing co-occurring mental health issues; intensive group and individual therapy; and counseling in nutrition, exercise, health, and basic wellness. The Transitional Living Program is an extension of Adult Treatment, with added services such as the development of life skills to prepare clients for employment. Our long-term Long-Term Recovery Program is designed to provide men and women who have obtained six months of sobriety and employment the opportunity to live independently, at a very affordable rate, with built-in support structures such as bi-monthly accountability meetings and counseling sessions. Clients also gain resources for financial management, continuing education, computer skills, and vocational training. Our Women with Children Program is meeting a critical need by serving as the only substance use treatment program for mothers with children. The program facility also includes a fully licensed Child Development Center. The women receive substance abuse education and relapse prevention; mental health assessments and medication management; medical testing and referrals; nutrition assessments and education; life skills training; and peer-to-peer recovery and support activities. Children receive primary and medical health care referrals; developmental services and therapeutic interventions; on-site child care and access to educational and recreational services.
