About This Cause
We protect people and the environment from destructive mining, drilling, and fracking by... - Documenting and reporting the pollution and public health dangers these industries cause. - Exposing the risks of irresponsible industry practices that devastate ecosystems, destroy livelihoods, and ruin water supplies. - Lifting up grassroots groups and frontline activists who experience the worst impacts and take the biggest risks. - Advocating for policy reforms that protect the environment and our climate while preserving people’s rights. - Promoting sustainable alternatives to meet society’s energy and mineral needs while making a rapid, clean and just transition away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy. Earthworks is a member of EarthShare, a federation of America’s most respected environmental and conservation organizations, is a top-rated charity by CharityWatch and Charity Navigator, and meets all the charity accountability standards of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance. Earthworks is also a 1% for the Planet recipient organization and participates in the Combined Federal Campaign (#41290).
