Mission Statement
Advancing hope, healing, and resilience for those impacted by trauma, abuse, and violence through comprehensive response, treatment, education, and prevention. Creating a center of excellence and new response model LifeBridge Health’s Center for Hope provides intervention & prevention for: Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, Street Violence, and Elder Justice for survivors, caregivers, and communities.

Lives Changed in FY 2024 Supported 4,589 clients including 1,731 children Conducted 3,503 counseling sessions Held 4,958 case management & advocacy sessions Completed 500 forensic interviews Provided 162 shelter nights Conducted 646 medical exams Made 784 hospital bedside visits Provided 71 trainings to 10,990 participants Mediated 876 high risk conflicts Building Hope At LifeBridge Health, we recognize the devastating impact of violence in our communities, and the growing number of victims of all ages. This is a public health issue and we need to help our communities by partnering with the people in them, to break the cycle of violence. We need to partner alongside community leaders, stand shoulder to shoulder with parents and caregivers, and help provide survivors of violence and crime with support and healing, in order to grow a collective hope for a better city and a better world. Center for Hope provides extensive intervention and prevention services as we work to combat the incidence as well as the emotional, physical and financial impact of violence in Baltimore. Impacted individuals benefit from the experience of experts who understand the connections across the violence spectrum, from the abused child living with a parent suffering from depression and mental illness, to the gang member on the street dealing with gun violence who goes home to care for an elderly grandparent. Trained professionals and volunteers deliver services with sensitivity and compassion, offering privacy, anonymity and protection for those who seek our help. This collaborative space provides necessary trauma-focused services such as crisis response, forensic and medical examinations, mental health, victim advocacy, education, and outreach as we dig deeply to address the root causes of abuse and violence.
