RMF's mission is to foster sustainable social and economic development in Lebanon, establish a strong civil society, and provide emergency relief and humanitarian aid in times of crisis to its most vulnerable and marginalized communities through its implementing partner RMF Lebanon. About This Cause
RMF has been at the forefront in providing crisis and emergency response, relief work and humanitarian assistance throughout the Lebanese civil war and most recently to Lebanon's impoverished population as a result of the current financial crisis. The Rene Moawad Foundation is a leading organization providing sustainable development programs in Lebanon since 1993. It is located both in the USA as a 501 (c)(3) US organization and on the ground in Lebanon with a team of more than 200 people implementing various development projects nationwide. RMF partners with International agencies as the EU and USAID to bring sustainable development to Lebanon and works at the grass-root national level. Its work focuses on 4 main sectors: Socio-Economic Development, Education, Health Care and Agricultural Development.
