Our mission is to provide scholarships to bright and needy students in Punjab and neighboring areas to make higher professional education affordable.
About This Cause
SHDF was set up in 1999 to help bright but financially disadvantaged students in Punjab and neighboring areas to rise to their full potential through higher education and training. SHDF has provided over 7300 scholarships since 1999. By improving the access of under-privileged youth to higher education, we seek to minimize their frustration, anger and their potential drift to drugs, alcoholism or crime. Every student helped is not only a life transformed, but uplifts the entire family and eventually it will transform the nature and the status of the civil society in Punjab and other states wherever SHDF operates.
