About This Cause

Mission Statement: International Association for Human Values (IAHV) is an international humanitarian and educational non-profit organization committed to promote resurgence of human values in all aspects of life around the globe. IAHV partners with governments, educational institutions, other NGOs, corporations, businesses, and individuals to promote personal development programs and to further expand our established programs. Programs: IAHV’s established programs include trauma relief programs with the United States Veterans Association (Project Welcome Home Troops), the prison system with Prison S.M.A.R.T Program (Stress Management and Rehabilitation Training) as well as programs located in Haiti, India, and the Middle East. The trauma relief programs provide long-term rehabilitation providing individuals with educational training in management of stress and physical assistance with building homes, schools, and orphanages. IAHV aids in the development of at-risk youth with our YES! for Schools Program (Youth Empowerment Seminar!), where stress and emotion management is taught in schools to create a stress-free violence-free community to develop strong individuals and create robust communities. IAHV’s 5H Program aims to uplift individual and communities in developing areas by providing skill training and educational tools to foster self-reliance and responsibility; this program focuses on Health, Hygiene, Home, Human Values, and Harmony in Diversity. IAHV’s disaster relief programs aims to provide immediate relief (food, water, temporary shelter, and basic necessities to areas confronted with natural disasters or other hardships. History: IAHV first received its United Nations NGO status through its incorporation in Geneva in 1997. IAHV is in consultative status with the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations, and participates in a variety of committees and activities, related to health and conflict resolution. IAHV is known for its low overheads and strong organizational capacity made possible by our large inspired volunteer base.
