Mission Statement
Northbridge Point Piranhas Swim team is for children ages 5 - 16 in the community of Valencia, California. The goals of our team are to teach and improve upon the swimming skills of each of our kids, to instill a love of swimming in our kids, to foster a strong sense of community, and to develop skills and relationships that will last a lifetime. We rely on donations to pay the majority of the costs of running this program.
About This Cause
Northbridge Point Piranhas is located in Valencia, California starting in 1996 as a community swim team. We are a summer swim program for kids ages 5-16. The goals of our team are to teach and improve upon the swimming skills of each of our kids, to instill a love of swimming in our kids, to foster a strong sense of community, and to develop skills and relationships that will last a lifetime. Our entire staff is made up of former Piranha swimmers. We compare our coaching program as a paid internship to learn coaching, training, and organizational skills. The coaches learn to become role models for the swimmers while becoming young leaders of our community. Our program is made up of registration fees for each child, along with fundraisers and donations. Our goal is to raise enough money through these fundraisers and donations to allow us to not charge any fees to participate. Our entire board is made up of volunteers and are not paid and we are a 501(c)(3) exempt organization.
