Mission Statement

St. Jude League, founded in 1929, is the organization that provides support operations for several U.S. Claretian programs.

About This Cause

The mission of the St. Jude League is the development of robust business and ministry support for the Claretian ministries cited below. This includes growing the financial base to fund and the talent base to support and expand the powerful ministries of hope, justice, education, social service, violence prevention, and development in the communities the Claretians serve. These ministries are primarily: - social-justice and community development programs within high-poverty, urban communities (stjudeleague.org) - publishing periodicals and materials with a "faith in real life" perspective for Catholics in the U.S. today (www.uscatholic.org & hispanic-ministry.com) - fostering and maintaining a devotion to St. Jude, the patron saint of hope (www.shrineofstjude.org) For donors or employer matching gift programs who prefer/require a nonreligious use of funds, please restrict your donation to our St. Jude League Community Development program, which covers programs within the first bullet point above.
