Mission Statement

The National Wildlife Federation(NWF) works in partnership with its 50 state and territorial affiliates and other organizations to protect and conserve America's rich natural heritage. Our efforts save wetlands, create wilderness areas, and protect wildlife whose habitats are disappearing in all parts of the nation. NWF has also influenced dozens of legislative victories impacting wildlife and the environment, including the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water and Clean Air Acts, the Farm Bill, and many more. We have a long history of providing award-winning, environmental education programs and resources to American schools, while our Garden for Wildlife outreach engages property owners and communities of all types to become wildlife sanctuaries. Through these programs, signature publications National Wildlife Magazine and Ranger Rick, and active social media networks, we engage with millions of Americans to advocate on behalf of and connect with nature.

About This Cause

National Wildlife Federation's mission is to inspire Americans to protect wildlife for our children's future. NWF works with more than 4 million members, partners and supporters in communities across the country to protect and restore wildlife habitat, confront climate change and connect people with nature.
