PPMW is the oldest & largest provider of family planning services in Metropolitan Washington, serving DC, Maryland & Northern Virginia.
About This Cause
Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. (PPMW) was founded on the visionary idea that access to sexual and reproductive health care could transform people’s lives. For over 85 years, PPMW has provided high quality, supportive reproductive medical care for families in the DC metro area. In 2022, PPMW provided more than 37,000 patient visits, and has expanded hours for telehealth services. Additionally, PPMW remains an abortion provider to patients near and far, offers primary care and gender-affirming (hormone therapy) care, and has started vasectomy services.
