Mission Statement
Founded as the Young Woman's Christian Home 135 years ago, Thompson-Markward Hall is a temporary, safe and affordable residence hall for young women moving to DC for school or work.
About This Cause
Established 135 years ago as the Young Woman's Christian Home, Thompson-Markward Hall provides welcoming, heritage-rich accommodations that make life in DC easy for our residents. TMH offers safe, affordable and temporary housing to women aged 18 to 34 for two weeks to two years. Women from all over the world stay at TMH and we serve, on average, more than 350 young women per year.
