Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide quality, specialized care within a homelike environment for children and adults with severe disabilities, so each person can achieve his or her fullest potential.
About This Cause
St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children began in 1944, when homeless and displaced children, abandoned by war widows, appeared on the doorstep of a local boarding school. By the 1980s, St. Mary’s evolved into the place it is today: a private, non-profit 501(c)(3), non-sectarian organization providing a full range of health care services to children and adults with severe disabilities. St. Mary’s is currently licensed to care for up to 88 children and 12 adults.
