About This Cause
Founded in 1937, Mental Health Virginia (Mental Health America of Virginia, MHV) is the leading broad-based mental health advocacy organization in Virginia. MHV's direct services include the statewide, peer run Warm Line for free, anonymous mental health support. Other programs include recovery education and training, peer support groups, and a professional network for peer recovery specialists. We work with policy makers and the public for a better mental health system and public understanding that mental health is essential to everyone’s overall health.
