Mission Statement
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
About This Cause
BBBSCVA is a mentoring agency that specializes in creating and supporting one-to-one relationships between at-risk youth and mentors. The program is built upon the premise that with the support of a positive, caring adult role model, youth will have a better chance at success. The organization has two programs in which children are served - the Community-Based Mentoring Program and the Site-Based Mentoring Program. In 2016, BBBSCVA served over two hundred needy Central Virginia children.
